Talkish Thursday: Favourite Moments

Hello everyone and welcome to the 4th post of Talkish Thursday! Crazy that I’ve been able to continue this mini blogging series since I have a bad habit of starting series and not continuing it. Anyway, let’s start!

Talkish Thursday: Favourite Moments

The question given to me was: What are your favourite moments so far?

Okay. I honestly could list a thousand moments– but I obviously coudn’t remember it all unless I journalled about it. I am a very planned person but I like surprise trips and moments and I’d like to share 3 of my favourite moments so far.

  • The Recollection

This just happened to me last Monday. We had our class’ recollection and it was honestly so fun. We didn’t get what we really expected like having an open forum with all of my classmates but it was honestly one of the best moments in my junior high. After our recollection, the Father who gave mass to us invited us into his home and welcomed us to his life. He toured us in his home and we went to the House of Youth where there are people who practise Christian living and they are all from different countries! It was honestly so nice to meet them and they’re all just so kind. We visited Father yesterday but sadly he wasn’t on his home and he texted us that he was on a mass. So we’ll come back there next time!

  • The Pampanga Trip

This happened last February and I am planning to do a separate post about this since I really treasure this moment. The Pampanga trip was honestly so insane and it was just really fun. I went there withb my family and… it’s more fun with family!

  • Fantine’s Character

I would never forget the moment when my classmate who directed our play chose me to play Fantine’s role. I am honestly not a good singer but he still chose me and I enjoyed acting as Fantine. That is seriously one of my unforgettable moments in life. It’s so nice to dive in Fantine’s character and act it. Everything that Fantine did was all for Cosette, which is so admirable of her. I may not have played it perfectly but at least..

These are only three out of my thousand favourite moments! I hope you enjoyed this post. And here’s a little tip, if you want to savour your favourite moments, do a journal about it so you will never forget it! Thanks for reading and I’ll see you in my next post!

Talkish Thursday: Love and Kindness

Hello everyone! I wasn’t really planning to do a Talkish Thursday post today but it’s the last Thursday of February and I don’t wanna miss a single Talkish Thursday post which happens every month. So here you go!

Talkish Thursday: Love and Kindness

How long has it been since you last gave food to someone out in the street who needs it? How long has it been since you last talked to your so-called friends or best friends that sadly betrayed you? How long has it been since you’ve been kind to someone?

Maybe your answer’s a minute ago, a month ago, a year ago, yesterday or what. And I salute you if your answer was a minute ago.

Last week in our ESP (Values) class, we studied about love and kindness. And the two are likely the same. The quote that our teacher said to us was:

How can you love God whom you have not seen and hate your brother and sister who you see everyday?

My reaction to that was “right. How can I really love God if I have hate for my brothers and sisters?” That moment, I realized that my love for God wasn’t right. Because I do sometimes hate other people. And at that moment as well, I was willing to change my interaction with other people to truly love Him.

The first step of it is being kind. Kindness. That’s the answer. But now questions keep on rushing, right? Like..

  1. What if they fool me?
  2. What if they hurt me?
  3. What if they make fun of my kindness behind my back?

I ask you not to worry. As Grace in God’s Not Dead 2 said,

“I’d rather be judged by the world and stand with God, than be judged by God and stand with the world.”

That clearly explains everything. Whether they hate you or they make fun of you, at least you’ve been kind and you’ve showed that you love them in the simplest possible way. Kindness will be your defense mechanism to judgmental people, I believe that.

And whenever you’re feeling angry, just walk away and get some air. If you talk to someone angry and you’re angry, that will lead to so much misunderstanding. Just be patient and everything will be okay.

It would be so nice to see the world with so much kindness in everyone, with love and hope and faith. So let’s start spreading love to everyone!

Thanks for reading and I hope you’re happy wherever you are right now. See you! x

Talkish Thursday: Warm Smiles

Hello!! Welcome back to this mini blogging series! I’ve decided that I should post one Talkish Thursday post per month, so it wouldn’t really be a hassle for me. If you like to read the first ever Talkish Thursday post, please click here.

Anyway, let’s start!

How do smiles affect you?

Ah— smiles! Honestly, smiles can make you really beautiful or handsome. Smiling adds something in your face– something that is really bright to see. Smiling can also ease your situation by 50% haha, and a smile is something that I would like to see in the faces of everyone.

Everyday on my 2017 planner, I put on my 3 major goals for that day. And one of them would be Make someone smile. Honestly, you could see this in every page in my planner. It’s just overwhelming to see someone smile because you did something that is really helpful to them. I’d like to smile more as well because a simple smile can put everything to a good mood. 😉

A smile can change someone’s feelings for you. It might erase their hatred and they’ll start to look at you as a nice person. A smile can really change something, but remember to make your smile genuine!

How about you? How do you feel about warm smiles? I’d like to know in the comments section! 🙂

Talkish Thursday: Fighting Depression

Hello everyone! So yeah, Talkish Thursday starts today!! (Talkish is not really a word haha forgive me, I can’t think of other and I want something that starts with the letter T and ends with ish, so yeah, that came up.)

Before I start, I want to welcome you on this little blogging series! I tackled this series on my latest blog post but I suppose it deserves a proper introduction.

What is Talkish Thursday? It is a blogging series in which I am given a question to answer. All I need to do is answer it truthfully and elaborate it, I also need to pinpoint things so yeah, I hope this works out! That’s it, let’s start!!

My friends gave me a question, I kinda forced them because they’re not into blogging. Lol. So here it is.

How do you fight depression?

Okay, honestly, I often get depressed. There are times where I am just sitting alone in my room, facing the wall then suddenly, tears starts falling in my face. I didn’t know what to do at those times, I can’t talk about this with my parents so I just sit, I let myself finish the negative thoughts and then later on, I’ll do something I love (reading, journaling and taking a shower.) If you often get depressed too, taking a shower would help.

Sometimes, I cuddle with my cat and my puppies and it would light up my mood, somehow. I talk to them, I really do. I can tell them anything I want without them judging me in return. Sometimes I just need to let it all out so talking to them is the easiest way. Their presence comforts me and it doesn’t make me feel like I’m alone.

If I can’t take it anymore and needs someone to advise me, I talk to my friends. I have a new friend, he’s not my classmate and we only started talking last June but I feel comfortable telling what I feel to him. He really helps. Sometimes I would chat him help and he knew what’s going on. He starts to give me advise and I just read it. He doesn’t really know what’s going on with me, I just tell him that I am depressed and I need help and he started composing crazy long messages that uplifts my mood. And the best parts of his messages was that I am not alone, God is always with me. And then I end up smiling, erasing every negative thoughts of mine.

Praying also helps, I promise, it does. It seems like when you’re praying, God is already by your side comforting you. And I just love that feeling.

How about you? How do you fight depression? Please let me know in the comments below so I could use that as well. And you can also ask me a question to answer for the next Talkish Thursday.

Thank you so much for reading! ‘Til next post!
